A female Indiana educator was arrested Tuesday after she allegedly sexually assaulted a 15-year-old, and could now face up to 36 years in prison.
Ashley Breedlove, 34, of Farmland, Indiana, a former principal of Union School Elementary, is accused of five counts of sexual misconduct with a 15-year-old student.
It is unknown if the boy was a former student of Breedlove’s or if he attended Union School Junior High. It’s also unclear if Breedlove is married or not, or how she and the boy know each other.
She was caught on camera hugging the teenager in the school hallway and kissing the boy’s neck on a school bus, according to the Randolph County Sheriff’s Department.
The unidentified minor told police in an interview that he and Breedlove had a sexual encounter inside her office at the elementary school, according to the Star Press.
She could face up to 36 years in prison.
She has been charged with one Level 4 felony charge that carries up to 12 years in prison and four Level 5 felonies with a maximum of six years each.

The pair allegedly communicated through Facebook Messenger, and Breedlove reportedly sent him a copy of the message she received informing her that she was being suspended for an ‘inappropriate relationship with a student,’ the Star Press reported.
Breedlove reportedly declined to talk to detectives, who later obtained a search warrant for her cell phone.
It is unknown what police found on her phone.
Breedlove resigned as principal of Union School Elementary in Modoc, Indiana, on October 18, a school press release said.

‘Providing a safe school environment and a high-quality education to our students have always been paramount,’ Superintendent Michael Huber said.
He also said the school would have ‘no further comments’ regarding the allegations ‘at this time’ and that the school is working with the sheriff’s department and the Randolph County Prosecutor’s Office during the investigation.
Breedlove is currently incarcerated in an unknown facility and her bail is set at $12,000.
