Organizer Ron Panzo said by mid day more than $40,000 from around the island and the country had been raised for Lahaina’s children. “There is so much aloha coming from all over,” Panzo said. “It’s amazing what’s coming through right now. People are sending their love from all over.” Panzo said along with cash donations, there were also many items donated including school supplies and sports equipment. He said the Keiki Relief Fund Closet scheduled to open soon at Azeka Shopping Center will be a place where children with Lahaina ID can go in and pick up needed items at no cost.
