Neela Rasgotra
Neela is a fictional character on the television show ER. This character was portrayed by Parminder Nagra. In the third episode of season 10 of the main cast, Parminder Nagra was added to the opening credits. Neela Kaur Rasgotra originally emerged as a talented but reserved medical student from Southall, London, at the beginning of the 10th season in late 2003. She is of Punjabi Sikh ancestry. Except for Dr. Michael Gallant, who helps her navigate the challenging start to life in the hospital, and Dr. Greg Pratt, who flirts a little bit with her, she enters the hospital on her first day as it is undergoing extensive renovations. Although Neela is incredibly intelligent, she occasionally has trouble communicating with patients and doctors. When she notifies the wrong woman of her grandson's death, this turns out to be devastating.

What Happened To Neela On ER?
The decision to relocate was made after Ray Barnett, Neela's ex-husband, updated his former Chicago coworkers on his new life in Louisiana, which featured a fulfilling profession in the field of physical therapy for people with disabilities. Neela decided she wanted to be with Ray after running with the previous resident, so she accompanied him down South and accepted a post at his hospital. The brunette beauty checked in with Drs. Carter, Morris, and Brenner via webcam in the series finale. At the end of Season 10, Neela and Abby Lockhart graduate from medical school. After graduating, Neela has an identity crisis and turns down an internship at the University of Michigan and opts to work as a store clerk when no other position turns up.

Who Does Neela On ER End Up With?
After an unpleasant interaction with Neela, Ray inebriates himself during Luka Kova and Abby Lockhart's wedding in the Season 13 episode "I Don't." Neela is overjoyed to see Ray again and decides to take a job at his hospital so she may be near him. She becomes close to Gallant before his deployment to Iraq after he takes the blame for a patient's accidental death, sparing Neela's probable dismissal. ER Neela Last Episode
Neela's last regular appearance was in "Shifting Equilibrium," episode 20 of season 15, where she permanently leaves County General after speaking with Simon and Abby (via phone). She is seen traveling to the Baton Rouge, Louisiana-based Le Chatelier Medical Center, where Ray Barnett is seen assisting patients in a physical rehabilitation facility. After battling her dread of making the wrong decisions in life, Neela seemed to have finally believed she made the right choice as she and Ray reunited there. She makes a webcam cameo appearance in the subsequent episode, "I Feel Good," calling from her new job with Ray. Neela makes a cameo appearance in the series finale "And In The End...," making another webcam appearance at Frank's admissions desk and speaking with Brenner, Morris, and Carter about her new life in Baton Rouge. Brenner now appears to be more at ease with Neela's physical absence.
